It has always been a dream to combine my love of animals and nature with my professional skills to assist people in achieving their goals. As an Occupational Therapist, I have been treating adults with neurological impairments in various stages of recovery for 20 years: acute care, rehabilitation, post acute support and home care services. In neurorehabillitation, enriched environments, client ce

ntered activities with a skilled therapist can achieve generalization of problem solving skills and transferring to other situations in life. Most survivors of stroke require rehabilitation for extended periods of time in order to adjust, identify abilities, and continue living a productive satisfying life. After a short hospital stay, there is a gap that has to be filled in order to prevent and encourage independent role achievement and sense of well being.
