Whenever you encounter stress, whether physically, mentally , financially, emotionally etc, if your body is not equipped to adapt and handle it well- then that stressed is stored in your nervous system and body.

Stress stored in your body and nervous system, causes dys-function, dys-regulation, dys-automomia, dis-ease etc.

Understand, if your body has been under repetitive stress for years, then it takes time to disrupt that pattern and re-wire your body to process and adapt to your lifestyle better.

Consistent chiropractic care is the way to regulate your body, so it can adapt, heal and function! ✅🎉

Do you know how much your child’s book bag weigh? 🎒 If you cannot answer, that’s perfectly fine. A child’s book bag should not be more 10 to 15 % of his /her weight.

Anything over that poses a stress on their developing spine/ nervous system! That’s an overload that their body will store and it disrupt its function over time. 😩

So what can you do:

Every Sunday or the night before the start of a new semester, empty out their bookbags and review what they have in it. Sometimes, they accumulate so much stuff. Help them eliminate the unnecessary items, to allow for a lighter bag.

If they have to carry all their text books, then maybe consider a roller bag or a school locker.

Remind them to wear book bag on both shoulders to balance out the weight. Ensure the bottom of the book bag is about 2 to 3 inches away from their waist line

Definitely keep them under chiropractic care.

We are all about raising healthy and thriving children, being pro-active with their health!

If you are an adult, who carries a purse or book bag, the same applies for you. Avoid wearing it on the same side repetitively and follow above recommendations.
