G. F. Still ADHD Clinic

G. F. Still ADHD Clinic Behavioral & Mental Health Department within Storybook Pediatrics

We offer comprehensive evaluations for patients starting at 5 years of age through young adults to encompass the whole patient; not merely ADHD specifically. Our practice follows AAP evidence-based guidelines including DSM5 medical criteria and diagnostic screenings to evaluate ADHD, anxiety, mild depression, OCD and other related areas of concern. In addition to medication management, we strive to provide additional resources throughout the community and educational settings; helping patients and families navigate through the right channels needed to achieve success and overall wellness. We believe in a team approach; working with patients, primary care providers, schools, and other behavioral specialists in managing and ensuring exceptional care. Let us be your "quarterback" and give you the tools needed to guide your way to better behavioral and mental health! **Currently in network with commercial insurance only**

πŸ“’ **Clinic Update**

Our provider will be out of town the first week of September. Please plan ahead for refill requests.

βœ… Refills require **48 business hours** for processing and will be sent in the order received.
βœ… Requests should be submitted when your child has 7–10 days of medication remaining.
⚠️ During this week, refill access will be limited, so early planning will help prevent any gaps in medication.

Thank you for helping us ensure smooth care for your family! πŸ’™

πŸ‰ Helping plan snacks or meals
πŸ“… Making a weekly summer fun schedule

It doesn’t have to feel like work β€” just small steps that build independence and confidence along the way!

Second year at the annual Locust Grove High School resource meeting representing our clinic by educating teachers and parents about ADHD, anxiety, depression and other behavioral health issues in our kids and adolescents and how we thoroughly diagnose, support and treat. We loved meeting new folks, and seeing faces we met last year, who attend from the LG elementary, middle and high schools. We are honored and proud to be part of our community!

Consistency is key! πŸ—οΈ When it comes to managing ADHD, taking medication daily as prescribed is crucial for optimal results. Here's why:

- Stable symptom control: Daily medication helps maintain consistent symptom management, reducing the likelihood of disruptive behavior and improving focus and attention.

- Minimization of potential side effects: Starting and stopping medication can increase the risk of experiencing side effects. Consistent use minimizes these risks and promotes a smoother treatment experience.

- Enhanced academic performance: By staying on track with medication, children and adolescents can better engage in learning activities, leading to improved academic performance and confidence in the classroom.

- Better social interactions: Stable symptom control supports positive social interactions, as children can better regulate their impulses and behavior, leading to more rewarding relationships with peers.

- Long-term success: Establishing a daily medication routine sets the foundation for long-term success in managing ADHD, helping children develop essential self-management skills for adulthood.

Let's prioritize consistency for a brighter, more focused future!
