Hot flashes, brain fog, night sweats, mood swings, weight that won’t budge, sleep that won’t come and rage that feels out of nowhere.

Sound familiar, ladies?

You’ve probably been told this is “normal.” That you just have to suffer through it and that medication is your only option?

Well, did you know?

Your hypothalamus and pituitary gland
—controlled by your nervous system-regulate your ENTIRE hormonal transition.

When your nervous system is stuck in chronic stress mode (hello,
subluxations and decades of life), your hormones simply cannot shift smoothly.
Your body is trying to navigate a massive biological transition while also carrying:
-Years of accumulated stress
-Career and family pressure
-Sleep deprivation
-Unresolved physical and emotional tension
-Nervous system interference from subluxations

It’s no wonder it feels like chaos!

Ask us how chiropractic care supports your nervous system’s ability to REGULATE during this transition.
And how, we have walked alongside countless women through perimenopause who’ve experienced fewer hot flashes, better sleep, stable moods, and clearer thinking. Not because we treated menopause, but because we supported the system that controls it.

Why do hip mobility exercises matter?
Hip mobility exercises are crucial for relieving chronic stiffness caused by sedentary lifestyles, enhancing athletic performance, and reducing lower back, knee, and ankle pain. They can improve functional movement by reversing tight hip flexors from sitting all day, allowing for better pelvic alignment and increased power in daily activities or sport.

Aim for 3 sets of 10-15 reps, of each exercise on each side, 4-5 times a week.

It’s been a wild week with the weather and more storm to come!

Did you know? Thunderstorms can trigger joint pain and headaches due to drops in barometric pressure, which cause tissues to expand and nerves to become sensitive. Chiropractic care helps by realigning the spine, reducing inflammation, and stabilizing the nervous system. Many patients find relief from “storm-related” stiffness and headaches through targeted adjustments that restore proper joint function and blood flow.

Lower back pain is one of the most common injuries massage therapists are presented with.
A lot of clients don’t know that regular massage can improve pain and stiffness in the lower back. Lower back pain may be caused by sitting for too long, poor posture and also weak muscles that surround the lower back and gluts.
The Quadratus Lumborum (QL) is one of the main muscles that is known to cause lower back pain.
The muscle is responsible for:
1) Hiking the hip (as parents of young children often do, when carrying their child)
2) Playing an essential role in stabilization of the hip and pelvis when we stand upright.
3) Pulling down the 12th Rib when we inhale, allowing the ribs to expand.

Many clients have no idea this muscles exists, let alone what is does, just how tight it can get...and why it can hurt so much when it gets massaged!
When working on this particular muscle, it can be quite tender and even very painful at times.
This is quite normal as the QL does a lot of work for you...all through the day!
Sleeping and sitting for long periods also allows the QL to seize up and stay in a shortened position, which in turn can create stiffness and pain.
The most effective way to release the
QL is by using a variety of massage techniques, including trigger point release, myofascial release and stretching.

As stated before, the QL is one of the main muscles responsible for back pain and many clients have found significant relief by simply having it massaged.
There are also many ways you can effectively massage the QL muscle yourself. Ask us next time you are in for your appointment and we will show you how!

You may be doing juice cleanses, gut protocols and taking liver supplements, but did you know? if your nervous system is dysregulated, your body CANNOT detoxify effectively!

You cannot simply detox a dysregulated nervous system with a green smoothie. 🌱

Your nervous system controls your liver, kidneys, lymphatic system, and gut elimination. So, when your body is under stress and tension, nerve signals to detox organs are disrupted.
Lymph cannot drain, gut motility slows, and your body just holds onto what it should be releasing.

Chiropractic adjustments restore nerve flow to detox organs.
Nervous system regulation shifts you out of stress mode so that your body can heal and detoxify.
In other words, when your nervous system is regulated, detox happens naturally. 🌱
