Serving the residents of Pittsburgh’s western suburbs, Heritage Valley Kennedy — formerly Ohio Valley Hospital (OVH) — is a 124-bed hospital in Kennedy Township. First established in the 1890's as a place to treat railroad workers, Heritage Valley Kennedy now features a wide range of medical and surgical services. These include acute inpatient care, geriatric psychiatry and acute rehabilitation se

rvices. We offer the latest in technology, including robotic assisted surgery and stroke telemedicine. Our list of specialties for both inpatients and outpatients also includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, radiological service, laboratory services, pulmonary and respiratory services, a cardiac catheterization lab, a cardiac rehabilitation program, nutrition services, diabetes services, a sleep lab, and an emergency department. We also have assisted living and independent living facilities for seniors. We offer dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Our ancillary services include primary care, a Pain Treatment Center, and a Wound Care Center. We also help shape future generations of the medical field through our School of Nursing and School of Radiography programs. We recently received a thank you note from a first-time Heritage Valley Kennedy patient. This patient was frustrated because she had been told by another facility that it would be four months before her CT Scan could be scheduled. We were able to schedule her right away, and she was happy that she made the drive from the North Hills! She was very pleased with her first Heritage Valley Kennedy experience, and stated that the Radiology Department staff and our front desk Concierge were all “professional, friendly and so helpful!”
