MYTH: Heart failure and cardiac arrest mean the same thing.

FACT: When someone goes into heart failure, that means their heart is no longer pumping blood the way it should. This condition is typically long-term and chronic, but it may also occur suddenly. On the other hand, when someone goes into cardiac arrest, their heart has stopped beating completely and needs to be restarted.
