Sweet Expectations I've been a Doula since 2008. My passion is supporting and encouraging expectant mothers to see the strength and power they have to labor in confidence.

I provide coaching in relaxation, breathing and visualization. I am also experienced in breastfeeding techniques and support. During your pregnancy, I can help you create a birth plan as we discuss your hopes and dreams for the arrival of your little one. You will be able to call me any time with questions or concerns. I can even go to a prenatal appointment with you to ensure continuity of care w

ith your midwife or obstetrician. While you are laboring we will use many different techniques to manage pain without medication, if that is what you wish. I employ breathing techniques for pain management, as well as massage, various positioning and visualization.

The most important comfort measure a Doula provides is consistency. Doctors, nurses and midwives are in and out of the room while you are laboring. I’ll be by your side the whole time. That is why a Doula is an invaluable investment in the birth of your child. Birth is a beautiful, natural, sacred event. Our bodies were created to grow and nurture babies. I believe that being informed and making educated decisions is the key to having a positive birth experience.

I use them all the time. My favorites are lavender, patchouli, wild orange, deep blue rub, serenity and onguard: oil, cough drops and multipurpose cleaning concentrate.
