🌿 Empowering Wellness and Education: The Journey of Dr. Unoma Okorafor 🌿
Meet Unoma Ndili Okorafor, the visionary founder of Herbal Goodness, a McKinney-based superfood company committed to health, sustainability, and social impact. Inspired by her Nigerian roots and a desire to provide organic, non-GMO superfoods, Dr. Okorafor has grown Herbal Goodness into a seven-figure business, offering products like papaya leaf tea and sea moss supplements.
But her mission goes beyond wellness products. Through the WAAW Foundation (Working to Advance African Women), which she founded in 2007, Dr. Okorafor dedicates 10% of Herbal Goodness's profits to support STEM education for girls across Africa. With over 400 volunteers in 60 university chapters across 22 countries, the foundation has impacted the lives of thousands of young women, fostering the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Dr. Okorafor's journey from a Ph.D. in computer engineering to a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist exemplifies how passion and purpose can drive meaningful change.
