Knowing how to process your feelings is a skill, so don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed if this is what a therapy session might look like for you!🧡 Sometimes the closest we can get to feeling our feelings is acknowledging that our body is responding to something we are feeling, even if it’s too overwhelming to acknowledge what that feeling is. I always feel so priviledged to have this moment with clients because for me, this means that they feel safe enough to sit in that emotion long enough for their body to register it, and sitting in negative emotions like fear and hurt can be extremely difficult if you never learned what to do with those feelings.
