Franklin Cemetery is located in northwestern Collin County about 7 miles north of McKinney and south of Chambersville. It is situated on the east side of FM 543, just south of County Road 125.

There are 30-40 graves. Some of the stones are broken and some are worn smooth. There are some sites marked only with wooden planks, metal rods or unmarked stones.

There is an iron fence enclosing about ten graves, mostly related to Daniel J. Franklin

The rest of the graves are scattered about the site. Most are close to the fenced enclosure, but several are isolated some 10 or 20 yards away. As of October 2007, the site is somewhat maintained by the woman who lives on the opposite side of the road.

Upcoming I'll publish a post of all the people buried that are known that either have grave marker/ funeral home marker or otherwise. To my knowledge there is no family book or interment book for Franklin at this time.
