Good afternoon Heritage Eye Center Family. We hope everyone is staying warm today. We know that today and the next few days will be challenging due to the weather. As of now our office is closed today (2-15-21) and tomorrow (2-16-21) to try and keep everyone safe and off the roads. Good afternoon. The Heritage Eye Center family wanted to say thank you and ask for your continued patience during these difficult times. We have started to reopen our doors for patients needing routine care. We have committed to following the CDC guidelines to keep both our patients and staff safe. We have implemented a 6 foot distancing guideline which is clearly marked in the office. Additionally we have made it mandatory for masks be worn both by patients and staff members at all times while in the office, we are also utilizing breath shields on slit lamps, and limiting the number of people in the office at any one time. Due to limiting the number of people in the office we ask that patients come in alone unless they require assistance. Please also come in at scheduled times. If you come in early you may be asked to wait in your vehicle until appropriate time to come in. We know that this may be inconvenient, but it is necessary for us to remain open to provide service and also to keep everyone safe.

In Response to recent recommendations by local government and medical governing authorities, Heritage Eye Center and Allen Ophthalmology is limiting our services for clinical and surgical visits to only Emergent Care. This is part of our overall efforts to help our community to lower the overall spread of COVID-19. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but feel it is our duty to be apart of the overall solution to this ever growing problem we are facing. If you do have an emergency please call our regular number at 972-548-0771 and you will be taken care of as quickly as possible.
