This month, we’re focusing on Confident Feeding 💪🏻✨

Because every family deserves to feel steady and supported — whether that looks like breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding… or a combination of all three.

I serve families who are:
• Working through latch challenges
• Navigating tongue ties or slow weight gain
• Figuring out pumping schedules for returning to work
• Wondering if baby is getting enough
• Trying to balance nursing and bottles
• Simply wanting reassurance that they’re doing okay

Feeding a baby isn’t one-size-fits-all.
It’s personal. It’s emotional. It’s sometimes exhausting.

This March, I’ll be sharing practical tips, encouragement, and answers to the questions families are quietly carrying.

If you’re in the middle of your feeding journey, comment “FEEDING” below or send me a DM — I’d love to know what you’re navigating right now.

Rooting for you! 💕

✨ Happy IBCLC Day ✨

Ten years of walking alongside mothers.
Ten years of witnessing strength they didn’t know they had.
Ten years of seeing God meet families in some of their most vulnerable moments.

Becoming an IBCLC was never about a title — it was about a calling.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with tearful, overwhelmed mamas and watching peace slowly replace fear. I’ve seen babies finally latch after weeks of struggle. I’ve watched confidence bloom where doubt once lived.

Time and time again, I’m reminded:
God designed mothers with incredible wisdom and resilience — and sometimes they just need steady, compassionate support to rediscover it.

To every family who has invited me into your story — thank you. It is sacred ground to support you as you nourish the life entrusted to you.

And to my fellow IBCLCs serving faithfully behind the scenes — your work matters more than you know.

All glory to God for ten beautiful years of serving mothers and babies. 🤍

What an honor to walk alongside this sweet mama and her baby 🤍

When we first met, she was overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure if breastfeeding would ever feel peaceful. Today, they’ve reached their feeding goals — not because it was “easy,” but because she showed up with courage, love, and a willingness to keep going.

Watching her grow in confidence, trust her body, and find calm in the process is exactly why I do this work. Breastfeeding isn’t just about ounces — it’s about support, reassurance, and having someone in your corner when it feels heavy.

So proud of you. So grateful to be part of your story. ✨

In this season of new beginnings, may you feel covered in grace and surrounded by love.💕

God is present in the small moments — He sees every late-night feeding, every tear, every quiet prayer. He is near and love is woven into each part of your day, even the tired ones.

At Anchored Wellness, my heart is to walk alongside you offering gentle, evidence-based support and encouragement rooted in faith and compassion.

This February, may your heart rest in the truth that you are deeply loved and tenderly supported.

In the early days postpartum, your body is doing important groundwork for milk supply 🤍

🧠 Prolactin receptor sites are being established in the first days and weeks after birth.
Each effective milk removal — nursing or pumping — helps build and “set” these receptors, which play a key role in long-term milk production.

👶 This is also why babies have a high need to suck early on.
Frequent feeding isn’t a sign of low milk — it’s often your baby’s biologically normal way of helping your body build supply.

✨ What this can look like:
• Frequent feeds or cluster feeding
• Wanting to nurse again shortly after a feed
• Comfort sucking paired with milk transfer

🤍 What matters most:
• Effective latch and milk removal
• Feeding on cue, especially early on
• Support when feeding feels painful or inefficient

These early days are not about perfection — they’re about connection, communication, and laying a strong foundation. With the right support, your body and baby can work together beautifully.

When a baby starts life in the NICU, feeding often needs extra layers of support and early intervention matters. 🤍 So grateful to be part of this family’s journey through oral ties, bodywork, and healing.

If your baby has been in the NICU and feeding feels harder than expected—you’re not behind. With the right support, progress is possible.

Breastfeeding invites comparison so quickly —
How much milk. How often. How long. How “easy” it looks for someone else 🤍

But God didn’t design your feeding journey to look like anyone else’s.

Your body. Your baby. Your beginning.
Let go of comparison.

Trust the grace that’s guiding this gentle beginning.

Low milk supply is one of the most common worries I hear — and it’s often more complex than it seems.

✨ Common contributors to low supply:
• Infrequent or short feeds
• Shallow latch or ineffective milk removal
• Early supplementation or missed pumping sessions
• Hormonal shifts, blood loss, or medical conditions

🤍 Realistic expectations:
– Milk supply builds gradually in the first week
– Colostrum volumes are small but powerful
– Babies often cluster feed to help increase supply

If you’re worried about supply, you’re not failing — you’re navigating a learning season. With the right support, many supply concerns can improve.

Save this for later or share with a new mama who needs reassurance. 🤍

“Patients should be supported to breastfeed immediately before surgery, preferably directly, or by expressing if that is their preference. Patients should be supported to resume breastfeeding after the procedure once they are alert, orientated and able to feed their child or express independently.”

Download and save these 2026 guidelines for the use of anesthesia in breastfeeding mothers. The amazing support these guidelines reflect for lactation signals we’ve definitely come a long way.
