Today, we honor Juneteenth — a day of freedom, reflection, and hope.

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom. Juneteenth marks a turning point in our nation’s history and continues to inspire the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice for all.

Glaucoma Awareness Month
