Here are some foods you can look forward to during Thanksgiving:
1️⃣ Sweet Potato
Sweet Potatoes are rich in Vitamin A and C which are essential for healthy gums and overall immune function. Switch out your regular potatoes for this healthier alternative
2️⃣Cranberries
Cranberries benefit teeth by helping to prevent plaque and cavities and reduce bad breath by using compounds called
proanthocyanidins (PACs) that stop harmful bacteria from sticking to teeth. However, due to their acidity and staining pigment, it's best to consume cranberries in moderation.
3️⃣Green Beans
Green Beans are a good source of vitamin K,C, and A, which help strengthen your teeth. Chewing crunchy green beans helps remove food particles and plaque due to increase in saliva production.
4️⃣Turkey
Turkey a great source of phosphorus, which, along with calcium, helps form and strengthen tooth enamel. It also contains protein, which is vital for the growth and repair of gum tissue, and vitamin B2 (riboflavin), which supports healthy oral tissues.
