In Memory of Dr. Rhonda D. Hopkins

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Rhonda D. Hopkins after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Dr. Hopkins was a valued colleague and a dedicated physician who cared deeply for her patients. Her warmth, resilience, and compassion left a meaningful impact on those who knew her and on the lives she touched throughout her years of service.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who mourn her loss. Her legacy will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

With deepest sympathy,
Snyder-Hopkins Family Medicine Center

We woke up to the world being one way, and now the sun will set on a world that is completely different. Today, we lost a great warrior. Dr. Rhonda Delane Hopkins rode her horse into the sunset, in perfect Western form, and leapt over Heaven’s gate, even though Saint Peter was more than ready to open it for her. She rode her horse, and jumped over the gate because she could, and perhaps someone, somewhere had told her she couldn’t. That is the Rhonda we all knew and loved. Rest in Peace.

My college kids are enjoying this snow and last hurrah before the new semester. My daughter and her friends built this lovely huge snow man this morning. You’re never too old to play in the snow. But do it carefully! We’d love to see pics of you, your family, or your pets playing in the snow. Everyone stay safe and warm!

Good morning! Due to inclement weather the staff and I are staying home to play in the snow. Haha! It seems the duration and likelihood of significant precipitation make travel potentially dangerous for me, my staff and our patients. We will close today. Depending on the accumulation and road conditions, I’ll decide about tomorrow later today. We will be notifying patients and doing our best to address what things we can from home.

My staff and I wish you a very Merry Christmas! This past year has certainly been a challenge with the transition and we all appreciate your patience and support.

Christmas is a time for giving and closeness and love with family and friends. Christmas can be a time of sadness and isolation for some. I hope you all have a chance to spread some Christmas spirit even if it’s to a stranger. If you’re lucky enough to have people to love, let them know what they mean to you.

If you’re alone, know you are enough, you are important and you can find happiness inside yourself. If you feel hopeless or sad and are thinking of hurting yourself or someone else, please reach out to someone. And if you don’t have anyone you feel safe to reach out to, please call or text 988 for help.

We are closed today and tomorrow for the holiday. We will reopen on Thursday December 26 with regular hours. There is a provider on call for emergency calls only. Of course for life threatening or severe issues, please go directly to the nearest emergency room. I hope Santa is good to all of you!
