When complicated by life transitions, chronic health conditions, mental health diagnoses, or a host of other unforeseen obstacles, it is important to seek guidance. I have shared this journey with individuals and families for 27 years. My clinical training, the use of research supported treatments, such as EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Family Systems therapy, Gottman Relationship therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT), and compassion for others have allowed me to successfully work with individuals of all ages (children, teens, adults, and geriatrics) who are confronted with a variety of concerns. My team and I have worked extensively in the treatment of co-occurring chronic health conditions and mental health diagnoses as well as in the treatment of trauma and adverse life events. For your convenience, appointments are available during evenings and weekends. We are passionate about helping others to find peace and resolution with negative events of their past; to find enjoyment and meaning with themselves in the present; and to set attainable goals for their future. Underwood Counseling & Consultation, PLLC is hiring Mental Health Therapists to join our team. The ideal candidates will be a fully licensed Texas LPC, Texas LMFT, or Texas LCSW, looking to advance their clinical knowledge and skills within an integrative private practice setting. Special interests in working with pre-adolescents, adolescents, and/or adults is requested. Training is highly desired in CBT, Family Systems, IFS, EMDR and/or Accelerated Resolution Therapy; medical trauma; LGBTQ+ concerns; athletic performance; disordered eating; and substance abuse.
Ideal candidates understand the importance of creating a hybrid work schedule (in-office and telehealth) with a variety of daytime, evening, and weekend appointment options. Underwood Counseling & Consultation, PLLC provides a fully furnished office space; IT equipment and support; EHR management; and administrative support staff. Health insurance is available for full time employees. Additional benefits include PTO and continuing education opportunities.
Underwood Counseling & Consultation, PLLC is based in McKinney, Texas, and minutes from SRT 121, Hwy 75, and Hwy 380, the practice is easily accessible.
