The most common revisional surgery we perform?
Converting a sleeve to a gastric bypass — often because of reflux.

If you’re struggling with reflux, weight regain, or feel like your sleeve “didn’t work,” you didn’t fail.

There are solutions.

Revisional surgery isn’t a setback — it’s a strategy. And with the right plan, you can still reach the goals you started with.

You have options.

Sometimes the journey needs a second chapter, and that’s okay.

At Inspire Bariatrics, revisional care is approached with intention, experience, and a deep respect for the patient’s story. This is about correcting what didn’t work, refining what’s possible, and delivering the results people were told they couldn’t have.

If you’ve been told something needs to be fixed, or that nothing more can be done, this is your sign to get another opinion.
At Inspire Bariatrics, your care isn’t rushed. It’s done right.

By February, nearly 80% of people have already dropped their New Year’s resolutions, not because they didn’t care, but because the approach wasn’t sustainable.

Real change doesn’t come from extremes. It comes from small habits that fit real life. One better meal. A short walk. Showing up again tomorrow.

Consistency will always beat intensity. Progress isn’t all-or-nothing, and the scale isn’t the only measure of success. Energy, confidence, mobility, and control matter too.

With the right guidance and support, those small steps add up. At Inspire Bariatrics, we’re here to help you build habits that last and walk with you through every stage of the journey.

The sleeve gastrectomy is an incredible tool, and for many patients, it works really well.
But it’s important to know this truth: one tool doesn’t fit everybody.

If you’ve had a sleeve and are dealing with things like:
• Inadequate weight loss or weight regain
• Reflux
• Difficulty swallowing

That doesn’t mean you failed, and it doesn’t mean you’re out of options.

Even if you’ve been told “nothing more can be done,” or you don’t have bariatric coverage, there may still be a path forward.

Come see us. Let’s talk through your options.

Suffering is not supposed to be part of the process.

Many patients with lap bands were told discomfort meant it was “working.” That couldn’t be further from the truth.

When someone comes to us after years of pain and being turned away, our focus is simple: fix the problem, restore comfort, and help them move forward safely.

There are options. There is help.
At Inspire Bariatrics, relief is possible.

Real success is personal. It’s realistic. And it looks different for everyone. Bariatric surgery isn’t about chasing a number — it’s a powerful tool that supports healthy habits and helps your body work with you, not against you.

At Inspire Bariatrics, success is defined by how you feel, how you live, and how your health moves forward.

Progress over perfection — always.

Lasting weight loss isn’t built overnight. It’s built through small, consistent changes that add up over time. Bariatric surgery isn’t a shortcut — it’s a tool that helps support those habits and changes how the body works, making progress more achievable.

And remember: progress looks different for everyone. The scale doesn’t tell the whole story. Set goals that are personal, realistic, and meaningful to you.

At Inspire Bariatrics, we’re here to help you build progress that lasts.

2025 was a year of change. 2026 is about intention.

At Inspire Bariatrics, we’re stepping into this next chapter with clarity and purpose — new leadership, an incredible team, and a deeper focus on what actually matters.

That means looking beyond the scale, protecting lean body mass, and prioritizing long-term health, strength, and quality of life. It means continuing to find better ways to get patients the care they deserve — from approvals to how healthcare is delivered.

Same mission. Stronger foundation.
Here’s to providing the best care possible in 2026 and beyond.

Meet Dr. McCalman

I am a Bariatric and General Surgeon operating in the McKinney and Frisco areas. I am opening a Bariatric and General Surgery practice, Inspire Bariatrics. We plan to open in October. While this will be a new venture, my patients know that they will enjoy the same personal, advanced and customized approach that they have come to expect from me. After eight years of treating patients with bariatric, minimally invasive, and robotic techniques, I am looking forward to partnering with you to help you reach your goals.

DFW natives, my family and I are thankful that we get to live in such a cool area. We love the historic McKinney downtown, and the amazing shopping and sports venues in Frisco, Plano, Allen, and Dallas.

I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. I then attended the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2007. My husband, Dave, and I then moved to Farmington Hills, Michigan where I completed an Internship and Residency with Michigan State University at Botsford Hospital in 2012. After a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, I practiced in Southeast Texas for four years. While there, I had the opportunity to serve as Bariatric Medical Director, achieving a Center of Excellence from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) of the American College of Surgeons. I was also board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, and awarded the title of Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgery. I have been practicing in the North Dallas area now for three years, and we are thankful to “put down roots.” I can’t wait to see what is in store for Inspire Bariatrics and the patients we are privileged to treat.

I live in McKinney with my husband Dave, 2 children, and our lazy rescue dog. We love to hike, bike, swim, fish, hunt, attend church, craft, read, go to the zoo, and camp-out. I am so thankful for the love and support of my family, and the fact that I get to do a job that I love every day. I get to help patients realize their dreams, enrich their lives, and achieve their goals...What a fun journey to be a part of!
