We are excited to introduce our first LPC-Associate, Ms. Memunatu Jalloh AKA known affectionately as “Mooney”, who is joining M.O.S.H. Counseling Services under clinical supervision. Mooney brings a wealth of knowledge, extensive clinical experience, and a compassionate heart for serving youth, families, and communities.
About Mooney:
Memunatu Jalloh, generally known as “Mooney”, is a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician at the Dallas County Juvenile Center and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under clinical supervision. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University–Commerce.
Mooney’s professional experience spans multiple areas of mental health care. She completed an eight-month practicum at Terrell State Hospital, where she gained hands-on experience providing clinical support to adolescents/adults with acute and severe psychiatric needs. She also spent two years at Metrocare Services as a Case Manager, working closely with clients to coordinate care, develop treatment plans, and connect them to essential community resources. Her clinical training encompasses individual, family, and group therapy; psychological assessments; screenings; crisis interventions; and outpatient referrals. She has experience working with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia, Mood Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, learning disabilities, and co-occurring legal concerns. In addition, Mooney is trained in Texas’ Legal Education Attainment Plan (LEAP), providing specialized support to assist young people involved in the legal system attain trial competence/Fitness to Proceed (FTP) to juvenile court.
Originally from Denton, Texas, and proud of her Sierra Leonean heritage, Mooney values the cultural diversity that shapes her worldview and clinical approach. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she continues to uphold a lifelong commitment to service and sisterhood. Outside of her professional work, Mooney enjoys shopping, working out, trying new hairstyles, discovering new restaurants, and traveling.
