Adolescents are a specialized population that requires uniquely tailored therapeutic approaches and customized client-engagement skills. Not all treatment providers are eager to dive into the world of adolescent therapy, but at MFJH, it’s our specialty. Good leadership and supervision makes all the difference in counselors’ ability to evade counselor burnout and continue treating specialized populations with passion and care. We are beyond grateful that a difficult day was followed up by our owner and supervising counselor with a thorough conversation, support, action plan…AND a warm lunch to fuel the day. Being a great counselor starts with being taught, lead, and supervised by a great counselor, and we have just that. No matter how many tough days we face, we’ll continue to show up every day ready to help these kids get sober. Bring it on! 🧡🩵💛
