Stacy Turner, OD, has more than 30 years of experience treating adults and children and is the founder of Eldorado Vision & Optical in McKinney, Texas. She designed her practice so she could provide the best eye care and most advanced diagnostic tools in a comfortable setting. Dr. Turner’s dedication to excellence in optometry and her patient-centered approach embodies her practice’s motto, “Setting the gold standard in eye care.”
A native Texan, Dr. Turner graduated from McAllen High School, in McAllen, Texas, and then received her bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas. After graduating college, Dr. Turner returned to McAllen and worked as a computer programmer.
However, her desire to be more interactive with people pushed her to pursue a career in health, so she returned to school and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry with honors. Dr. Turner began practicing eye care in Plano, Texas at EyeMasters in 1990. In 1998, she and Dr. Renee Campbell founded Lakeside Vision & Optical in Plano, Texas where she saw patients until 2015 when she sold the practice.
Committed to her field, Dr. Turner spends many hours improving her craft by taking advanced optometry courses to maintain her diplomate status with the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Turner is also involved in a number of professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the North East Texas Optometric Society.
