Does tylenol taken in pregnancy cause autism?

Correlation is not the same as causation. It's like how ice cream sales and drownings both spike in summer - but ice cream isn't drowning anyone. The real culprit? Hot weather drives both up.

Same here: pregnant moms taking more Tylenol might have infections or health issues that are the actual factors.

Today’s Yoga Teacher Spotlight is on Lonni H. Rivera, who will teach Saturday’s 9/20 Yoga in the Park class. 🌳

Lonni H. Rivera’s journey into yoga began in 2003 when she was seeking stillness and balance amidst the high-pressure demands of her role as a TV journalist in Austin, Texas.

Lonni holds three Yoga Alliance certifications, including a 200-hour training at Yoga Shala in Sacramento, focusing on alignment-based Vinyasa, and additional training in Iyengar and Vinyasa at Soul Play Yoga in Los Angeles.

Her teaching style reflects her playful and soulful spirit, blending slow, mindful movements that are accessible to all levels.

Lonni loves offering karma yoga to underserved communities and hosting retreats. Now back in her hometown of Pittsburgh, she’s thrilled to infuse her West Coast vibe and joyful energy into the local yoga scene.

With a community health and education background, Felicia integrates trauma-informed wellness with Raja Yoga. For over 30 years Felicia has transformed lives with embodied antiracist organizing through Raja Yoga. Standing firm on the belief that we are all bound and dehumanized by systems of oppression, she envisions a humankind where we have dismantled these systems of oppression and humanely rebuilt new systems together.

Today’s Yoga Teacher Spotlight is on Jennifer Tober of Schoolhouse Yoga who will teach Saturday’s 8/30 Yoga in the Park class. 🌳

Jennifer Tober received her training through Joanne Vandenhengel/3rd Street Yoga/Schoolhouse Yoga. Jennifer has practiced yoga since 1999, and teaches many forms including Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Pre-Natal, Mommy and Me, and Meditation. She infuses her teaching with creativity, a quest for beautiful movement, and and inspiration for each student to explore and develop her/his own spiritual and physical practice. Off the mat, Jennifer is a professional actress and the artistic director of Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks. She is a mom of two amazing children, with whom she enjoys many creative and academic endeavors.

Today’s Yoga Teacher Spotlight is on Rebeka Besong of The Om Lounge who will teach tomorrow’s 8/16 Yoga in the Park class. 🌳

Rebeka, a Pittsburgh native, first discovered yoga in high school. She had joined the lacrosse team with all her friends and on the third day of practice; they took a yoga class as part of conditioning. Immediately after finishing conditioning that day, Rebeka quit the lacrosse team, bought a membership at a local yoga studio, and never looked back. One could say it was love at first flow, which came as no surprise considering her background in dance and gymnastics. Her love of yoga only continued to grow in parallel with the stress of earning her degree in engineering. Yoga taught her the importance of “me time” and escaping from the hustle and bustle of life even if it’s only for a few minutes.

Rebeka always dreamed of one day sharing her passion and secret to keeping her sanity with others, but it wasn’t until she discovered The Om Lounge that she knew it was time. After raving about the thoughtful, challenging, and creative flow paired with a dharma talk she’ll never forget in her first Om Lounge class, she signed up for 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training graduating in May 2021.

In Rebeka’s class, you can expect lots of sweat from a challenging and thoughtful vinyasa designed for yogis new or advanced to help them escape from reality - and a corny joke or two. Rebeka loves to offer her students a challenge but reminds us all that you have to start somewhere. Just like life, Rebeka feels that your yoga practice is also a journey and looks forward to guiding you through it.
