Join us in cheering on Bennett for his ! 👏💪💛

Bennett recently finished the 4 week intensive physical and occupational therapy program! “Not only did Bennett actually enjoy putting in the long and sometimes challenging work of the intensive, but he exceeded his goal of independently walking 10 feet by the end of the 4 weeks and presented gains in so many unexcepted ways. His speech and vocabulary skyrocketed, his posture and overall strength improved, and possibly most importantly, his confidence soared. This is partially due to seeing what he can achieve and partially due to the amazing team cheering him on at every turn,” exclaims Bennett’s mom, Dylan.

Bennett has Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic syndrome that can cause low muscle tone. “We have been improving through physical and occupational therapy since birth. However, at about 2 years old, he began to plateau – on the verge of walking but unable to get past the cruising phase. When our early intervention PT recommended this intensive, we jumped on the idea immediately.”

“In our evaluation, it was abundantly clear how amazing these therapists are and how much effort and care they provide their patients. But we quickly realized after beginning the intensive two months later that the compassion we saw from our evaluating team was only a small fraction of the unparalleled care we'd soon experience. From his 4 main therapists - Miss Heather, Erin, Molly and Jackie - to the substitutes who filled in when needed - Miss Madigan and Carrie - to all of the other wonderful therapists who said “HI!” or smiled or fake sneezed (at Bennett's request - especially Mr. Greg!), every single member of this team exceeded our expectations. They were all sweet, silly, patient and determined to see my son succeed.

A special shout out to the wonderful security, cleaning and front desk staff who always had a smile to share, and the true MVP - Miss Donna!!!!! Miss Donna is the lovely therapy aide who would always drop anything to motivate Bennett to walk by waiting at the finish line with a hug. He still asks about Miss Donna multiple times a week! We cannot wait to get back into another intensive and achieve even more physical milestones with the help of this special team and highly recommend this program to any family exploring a high impact treatment for physical delays!”
