Born and raised in Montreal, Dr. Marie-Chantale Farhat has been exposed to a melting pot of various ethnicities, languages, and cultures that has provided her with a unique outlook on her approach to life. This has become the driving force behind becoming fluent in multiple languages, including French and English.

Dr. Farhat completed her doctorate of dental medicine (DMD) at McGill University in 2018, with multiple distinctions, including the Dr. A.W. Thornton Gold Medal awarded by the Montreal Dental Club for the highest overall standing and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Senior Student Award for excellence in academic and clinical aspects of the DMD program.

Dr. Farhat moved to the United States in 2018 where she received her doctorate of medicine (MD) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated with Honors, and then accomplished one year of internship in General Surgery before completing her residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2024. Dr. Farhat focused on multiple research projects and published on oral cancer and different facial reconstruction methods. She also had the chance to give presentations on an academic level and national level, focusing on maxillofacial trauma, maxillofacial pathology, orthognathic surgery, head and neck ablation, and head and neck reconstruction.

She loves spending time with her family and her loved ones. She visits her large family in Montreal multiple times a year and enjoys road trips across Canada and the US. She also enjoys cultural trips to discover hidden gems around the world.

Please help us welcome Dr. Nicholas J. Thomas as our newest oral surgeon! Dr. Thomas will be in both our Lansdowne and Reston locations starting July 15th.

With a solid foundation in both the medical and dental fields, Dr. Thomas exemplifies a unique blend of skills and knowledge, making him a leading figure in his specialty.

Dr. Thomas embarked on his academic journey at the University of Michigan, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He then pursued his passion for medicine, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Wayne State University. His dedication to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery led him to complete a rigorous training residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he honed his surgical skills and expanded his clinical knowledge.

Dr. Thomas's clinical interests are diverse, encompassing various facets of facial surgery. He is particularly passionate about facial cosmetic surgery, including facelift and rhinoplasty procedures. His expertise extends to corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma repair, and dental implants, reflecting his commitment to restoring both function and aesthetics for his patients.

Dr. Thomas is deeply committed to providing his patients the latest advancements in surgical techniques and technologies. Throughout his career, he has engaged in cutting-edge research that has led to numerous journal and book publications. Likewise, he has collaborated with many leading experts in the field. His dedication to continuous learning and professional growth underscores his commitment to providing the highest standard of care to his patients.

Born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Dr. Thomas cherishes his roots and maintains strong ties to his community. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new cultures and destinations. Dr. Thomas is also a dedicated Detroit sports fan and is passionate about snowboarding and hiking with his dog.
