🎶 Music reaches memory and identity even when words no longer can. In keeping with January’s Power of Play theme of rhythms of renewal, we’d like you to meet Ana, a resident of Artis of Evesham. Ana has always carried a deep love of music – and it continues to bring her comfort, connection, and joy today. While she once cared for others as a nurse in Puerto Rico, her days now light up through the rhythms and melodies she knows by heart.​​

The day she sat down at the piano and began to play “Silent Night” was a powerful reminder of how deeply music lives within us. From music therapy to live entertainment, Ana is singing, dancing, and relishing every moment. ​​

What a joyful start to our Power of Play signature event series! 🎵 “Rhythms of Renewal” brought residents, families and associates together through music, touch, and playful sensory moments.

From the moment he picked up a pencil as a child, David – or “Kuff” as he preferred to be called – has been an artist at heart. His career in architecture took him from the University of Illinois to sketching European cathedrals abroad, and later to designing healthcare institutions across the globe. ​​

As a resident of Artis of Wilmette, Kuff’s creativity lives on through the legacy of his work, the guitar singalongs on the patio that lit up his days. 💙
