The fun and the feelings were on full display at our Gorgeous Grandma Shadowbox Glow-Up Parties – with the added excitement of an Artis-wide contest for glow-up glory!​​

To participate, communities came together to decorate the shadow boxes at the door of each suite with mementos, photographs, art, and more, to honor each resident’s story. ​​

🏆 Out of over 200 submissions, winners were selected in the categories of BEST HONORING YESTERDAY, CELEBRATING TODAY STORY 🎉, BEST VETERAN STORY (it was a tie!) 🎖️, and MOST CREATIVE DESIGN 🧑‍🎨.

Nobody is more excited to celebrate National Dog Day than Al, a resident of Artis of Somers. ​​

As a lifelong dog person, Al enjoys regular visits from therapy pups, and he lights up with those wagging tails come through the door. He’s always up for a quiet walk outdoors, with human and canine friends alike, and loves the quiet peace that comes with connecting with animals and nature.

This Mountain Day 🧗‍♀️, we’re putting Marguerite of Artis of Huntingdon Valley on the summit. When she’s not spending time with her mother, sister and husband, Marguerite enjoys visiting with the medical professionals on staff and chatting with them about their day. She’s always there to lend a helping hand, loves to get her hands dirty in the garden, and is center stage to shake her groove thing when the music comes on! ​​
