9% of population can turn the community around

An event will not do it but the event can be a catalyst! My hope and prayer is that Mental Health Matters 2026 will be the catalyst to the process of change! Dr Darryl Tonemah gave a great presentation about mental health and substance abuse and trauma. And shout to Kevin Tushka for this year’s T-shirt design and opening up the day in a good way!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and to kick off the awareness month KTHC Behavioral Health had 2 days of workshops to learn more about mental health and substance abuse and how it affects us.

We are thankful for all who came!

Let’s continue to fight the stigma together!

Every family is unique, yet all families share a powerful bond. Research shows that family support plays a vital role in helping loved ones facing mental health and substance use challenges. This event is an opportunity to better understand these issues, how they affect individuals and families, and how we can support healing and recovery together.

As we prepare to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month in May, we hope this gathering will spark meaningful conversations, strengthen support systems, and connect our community with valuable resources.

💚 Come learn. Come support. Come be part of the healing.
