June is designated as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month and it serves as a time for all of us to make space for mental health discussions. The effects of PTSD may be invisible but our support for others is not. Wearing teal this month is just one way you can help raise awareness.

We will be celebrating Certified nursing Assistants (CNA) during CNA Week 2025. The theme of the week, which kicks off June 12th, is "We Are The Champions," recognizing the hard work, dedication, and compassion of CNAs, who are essential to patient care in a variety of health care settings.

This weekend areas in Ohio County, WV suffered massive flash flooding. Fortunately, our funeral homes were spared. Sadly, many of our neighbors were not and need help to clean up, repair and rebuild. On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress approved the design of a national flag. Other Presidents issued proclamations throughout history to designate this day as National Flag Day but it wasn't until August 3, 1949, that Congress approved the national observance, and President Harry Truman signed it into law.
