Our employee spotlight this week is our physical therapist Scott. We are so excited he has joined our team !! 🌞
Dr Dunham is a physical therapist and has an extensive background with orthopedics treating all ages with, differential diagnosis, musculoskeletal disorders, pain, and injuries. He graduated with his doctoral degree in physical therapy in 2016, from Tennessee State University. In 2016, at the Tennessee State University Symposium, he received second place in his research on “Cryotherapy dosage and timing.” He completed is orthopedic residency with Drayer Physical Therapy institute in 2018, training under some of the top physical therapists in the country. Post residency, he became the director of an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy company from 2019-2020.
Dr Dunham is currently a mentor in IAMTs sports residency program and is a certified clinical instructor where he has taken on physical therapy students during their respected clinical rotations. He also has personal training experience, training all ages to reach their fitness goals. He was a strength and conditioning coach for a gymnastics team in TN, where he implemented strength and conditioning programs and assisted with injury prevention and overall wellness. He is also certified in Olympic lifting and the musculoskeletal prerequisites needed for each lift. He is also certified in the Functional Movement Screening and in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, which are diagnostic screening methods to identify the source of musculoskeletal disorders. He is also dry needling certified.
Dr Dunham also has a background in sports. He played division 1 baseball at Tennessee Tech University. He then went on to play professionally with teams such as the Wichita Wingnuts, Alexandria Aces, Kalamazoo Kings, and the Florence Freedom playing with and against the highest level of competition.
Dr. Dunham is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Tennessee chapter Physical Therapy Association.
