As we continue our celebration of nurses week, we reflect on the words shared by South Central Regional Nurses Tina Howes, and Brandy Moore. These ladies shared their gratitude with all of our nurses across our company in the below statements.
“Nurses earn trust not through what they say, but through what they consistently do when no one is watching and when everything feels uncertain. It’s in the way they notice small changes in a patient before anyone else does, the way they follow through on what they promised, and the way they stay steady in moments of fear, pain, and chaos. Trust is built in the quiet things, explaining a procedure one more time, catching an error before it reaches a patient, or simply sitting for an extra minute so someone doesn’t feel alone. Patients may not always remember every task, but they always remember how they were treated and whether they felt safe. During Nurses Week, we pause to recognize our wonderful nurses and that this kind of trust isn’t accidental it’s earned every single day by nurses who show up with skill, compassion, and integrity. It’s a reminder that what we do matters deeply, even when it feels routine, because it shapes the experience and outcomes of every patient we touch.”
“As an organization, we are blessed to have nurses committed to our patients by listening with intention, to treat every concern with the respect it deserves, and to recognize what matters to our patients and customers is important. NHC nurses recognize whether it’s a question, a worry, or a suggestion, patients’ feedback helps us provide safer, more compassionate care. This week and every week, we appreciate all that our licensed nurses do to address all concerns and ensure the best possible outcomes for all.” - Brandy Moore, Regional Nurse, South Central Region
