Behind every great patient experience is someone working hard behind the scenes.

This quarter, the Pinnacle Award goes to Sheli Mason. 🏆

Sheli handles billing for our office — and anyone who’s ever had to deal with insurance knows how complex that can be. What makes Sheli special is the way she goes above and beyond for our patients every day, helping them navigate the details and making sure they feel supported throughout the process.

Her work may happen mostly behind the scenes, but the impact she has on our patients and our team is huge.

To celebrate, we had a little fun with an AI image showing Miranda (our last Pinnacle Award winner) passing the trophy along to Sheli. 😆

Congratulations, Sheli, and thank you for the care and dedication you bring to Pinnacle every single day.

Many people try to “wait out” a minor injury.
And sometimes that works.

But when pain changes how you move — even slightly — the body often compensates in ways that put stress on other joints and muscles.

That’s why small injuries can sometimes grow into bigger problems over time.

Getting an injury checked early isn’t about rushing into treatment.
It’s about understanding what’s going on so you can heal properly and stay active.

There’s something powerful about moving without hesitation again. For Phillip, knee pain had quietly taken away something simple but meaningful — being able to play catch with his son.

After his knee replacement, that changed.

Now he’s moving with more confidence, getting back to everyday moments he once thought might be off the table.

Stories like Phillip’s remind us that joint care isn’t just about fixing a joint — it’s about helping people return to the activities and relationships that matter most.

And sometimes the biggest surprise patients share is this: “I wish I had done it sooner.”

As the weather warms up, a lot of people are ready to get back outside.
Longer walks.
More time in the yard.
More movement in general.

That’s a great thing — but after a winter of less activity, joints and muscles sometimes need a little time to catch up.

A few simple ways to ease back in:
✔ Start slower than you think you need to
✔ Warm up before longer activity
✔ Build activity gradually over time
✔ Pay attention to pain that lingers

Movement should help you feel better, not set you back.

If getting active again brings up joint pain that doesn’t improve, it may be worth checking in to understand what your body is telling you.

When Tammy first came in, she was dealing with the kind of hip pain that slowly changes your everyday life.

Walking becomes harder.
Simple activities take more effort.
And you start wondering if things will ever feel normal again.

After her total hip replacement with Dr. Peterson, Tammy’s experience at Pinnacle — from surgery through follow-up care — helped her get back on the path to feeling better.

Now she continues her care with Dr. Gilley and says the entire team has been supportive every step of the way.

Hearing stories like Tammy’s reminds us why we do what we do: helping people move more comfortably and get back to living their lives.

Thank you for trusting our team with your care, Tammy.

When activity increases — especially in the spring — it’s common to feel new aches.
But one question comes up often: “Is this just soreness… or something more?”

Muscle soreness usually appears after activity and improves as your body recovers.

Joint pain tends to feel deeper, more localized, and may show up with specific movements or swelling.

Understanding the difference can help you decide whether your body simply needs recovery — or a closer look.

If something doesn’t feel right, we’re here to help you figure it out.

A lot of people assume they should only see an orthopedist when pain becomes severe.
But many visits start with something much simpler: “I just want to understand what’s going on.”

Maybe your knee feels different after activity.
Maybe your shoulder has been stiff for a while.
Maybe you’re noticing small changes in how you move.

Those are all valid reasons to ask questions.

An evaluation doesn’t mean you’re committing to treatment or surgery.
Often it simply means getting clarity about your joints, your options, and what might help you stay active longer.

Sometimes the most helpful step is just understanding what your body is telling you.

When something feels off in your body, it can leave you wondering: “Should I push through this… or take it easy?”

Some soreness is often normal. But pain that changes how you move, lingers for days, or causes swelling may be a sign your joints need more attention.

Understanding the difference early can help you stay active without creating bigger issues later.

If you’re unsure what your body is telling you, we’re here to help you figure it out.

As the weather starts to warm up, a lot of people feel the same thing: The desire to move more.

Longer walks.
More time outside.
Getting back to activities you enjoy.

But if joint pain has been part of your winter, it can make that excitement come with a little hesitation too.

The good news is you don’t have to rush it.
Moving forward can start small — a little more movement, a little more confidence, and paying attention to what your body needs along the way.

If pain has been holding you back, spring can be a great time to check in and see what support might help you move more comfortably.

A common theme we hear after joint replacement: “I wish I had done it sooner.”

Many patients are surprised by how quickly they’re up and moving — and how different life feels without constant joint pain.

If you’ve been wondering whether it’s time to explore your options, we’re here to help you get answers.

As the weather warms up, a lot of people with joint pain feel the same pull:
“I want to move more… but I don’t want to make things worse.”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to choose between being active and being careful.

A few smart ways to ease back in this spring:
✔ Start slower than you think you need to
✔ Warm up joints before longer walks or yard work
✔ Pay attention to pain that lingers, not just soreness
✔ Don’t ignore discomfort that changes how you move

Spring is often when joint pain becomes more noticeable — not because you’re doing something wrong, but because your body is asking for a little more support.

If getting back to activity feels harder than it should, this is a good time to check in and understand what your joints need to keep moving comfortably.

We’re here to help you move forward — safely.

Momentum isn’t about how fast you move — it’s about continuing to move forward.

Maybe this month you:
• paid closer attention to how your body feels
• realized pain has been shaping your routine more than you thought
• learned something new about your joints or options
• or simply started asking better questions

That’s momentum.

Feeling better doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens through awareness, small decisions, and choosing not to ignore what your body is telling you.
And when you’re ready for the next step, we’re here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
