Antonio Zuloaga, PT, MS, OCS Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Antonio "Tony" Zuloaga, PT, MS, OCS, is a licensed physical therapist with over 30 years of experience in orthopedics with a special emphasis on the spine, shoulder girdle and lower kinetic chain. Zuloaga graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Chile. In 1991 he received his Master of Science degree in Orthopedic Physical T

herapy from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been board certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties since 1993. He currently works with NovaCare Physical Therapy McMurray-North in McMurray, Pennsylvania. He also serves as Clinical Instructor faculty for various physical therapy and physical therapist assistant schools. Zuloaga has had extensive manual therapy and functional orthopedic training including Muscle Energy Techniques, High Velocity Manipulation, Myofascial Release, Strain-Counterstrain, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Functional Indirect Technique, SFMA, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and Functional Biomechanics from institutions such as Michigan State University, School of Osteopathic Medicine, The Upledger Institute, Prague School Rehabilitation, and the University of Pittsburgh among others. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the spine and shoulder. He is a member of the APTA, Orthopedic Section, International Society of Clinical Rehabilitation Specialists, and International Spine and Pain Institute. His practice is focused on assessing and treating mechanical imbalances in the spine and kinetic chains that are the cause of pain and dysfunction in athletes of all ages and skill levels and non-athletes, by combining manual therapy and functional rehabilitation to restore mobility, stability and neuromuscular control.
