Because of changes with the office we will be moving to electronic medical records in the next month to try to help with ease work load with only two of us in the office and to help with billing. There may be a lot of “birthing” pains. We will be working with a combination of the EMR for new visits and old visits will still be on paper for a while. Please be patient with us. Any billing up until September will still be with the old company and will let you know when you the transfer will be with the new company will occur.

We will be closed for Labor Day to allow us to rest. If you need to reach Dr. D about your sick child call the office and leave a message and she will get back to you. It goes to her cell phone. All other questions should wait until we are open during regular office hours. Have a wonderful holiday.

Updates on insurance information: the beginning of 2026 the following insurances willl not be taken at McMurray Pediatric and Adolescent and the previous insurances that require you only go to UPMC or AGH providers:
Aetna Better Health
All Savers
Boon Chapman
Champ Va
Christian Healthcare Ministries
Medishare Plans
Out of State Medicaid

No it is not because we don’t do electronic fund transfers, we do. That is for those who read a review. There are various reasons , but the biggest reason we see too few in each. If you have any questions feel free to contact the office about alternatives.

It is flu season again! The flu shots and the mist(for 2-year-olds and older) are here for all insurance needs. You may call during office hours to make appointments for your children.

There is a new antibody drug for RSV for infants 8 months and younger and high risk infants to 24 months given as a one time shot during the RSV season. It is available in our office. If interested call or we will be asking if your infant may be in that age group or qualify. RSV is nothing to “sniff” about.

Just a reminder to bring your insurance card to every visit and make sure that the card lists Dr. DiCamillo as the P*P. If your child has Geisinger or AmeriCaritas you must have Dr. DiCamillo’s name on the card to be seen. Your child’s visit will not be covered. The insurance acts like an HMO. Thank you.

We have started a new phone system. Please follow the instructions carefully. it is to allow Rebecca and I to efficiently deal with the office with just the two of us. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find additional competent staff. If you need to schedule an appointment for your SICK child please follow the correct prompt and we will get to you as the calls as they come in. For routine appointments and refills follow the prompt as requested and we will get back to you as we can. DO NOT USE THE PROMPT FOR THE PHYSICIANS OR HOSPITALS! IF YOU CONTINUE TO VIOLATE THIS YOU WILL BE DISMISSED FROM THE PRACTICE! Thank you for your patience and this is a change for all of us. After hours, you still access me for your questions for your sick child.
