This Monday we are moving to electronic records and with that all billing from Monday on will be with that company. Anything before until December you will address questions with the old billing company. You will know by what is on the statements that you receive. When you come in for your appointments with the electronic records you will check in on the new system. The new system will begin contacting you next week for appointments. Please be patient as the transition begins.

On October 31, the office will be closed. Dr. D is taking a needed long weekend due to working alone in the office. and needs a rest. The office will open on Monday at normal hours. If you need to reach her for questions about your sick child you will be able to call her as usual by calling the office and leaving a message . The call will be directed to her cell phone.

Flu shots and flumist are in. Call for appointments and I will try to accommodate you as soon as possible.

I’m currently looking for as you know a medical assistant since Rebecca left and now I’m looking for someone for the front desk. If you think you may be interested, feel free to contact me through the office website and I will tell you how to attach any information I would like from you. Part-time is an option even though our normal hours are not even considered full time. Training for a EMR will be required.

Because of changes with the office we will be moving to electronic medical records in the next month to try to help with ease work load with only two of us in the office and to help with billing. There may be a lot of “birthing” pains. We will be working with a combination of the EMR for new visits and old visits will still be on paper for a while. Please be patient with us. Any billing up until September will still be with the old company and will let you know when you the transfer will be with the new company will occur.

Updates on insurance information: the beginning of 2026 the following insurances willl not be taken at McMurray Pediatric and Adolescent and the previous insurances that require you only go to UPMC or AGH providers:
Aetna Better Health
All Savers
Boon Chapman
Champ Va
Christian Healthcare Ministries
Medishare Plans
Out of State Medicaid

No it is not because we don’t do electronic fund transfers, we do. That is for those who read a review. There are various reasons , but the biggest reason we see too few in each. If you have any questions feel free to contact the office about alternatives.

It is flu season again! The flu shots and the mist(for 2-year-olds and older) are here for all insurance needs. You may call during office hours to make appointments for your children.

There is a new antibody drug for RSV for infants 8 months and younger and high risk infants to 24 months given as a one time shot during the RSV season. It is available in our office. If interested call or we will be asking if your infant may be in that age group or qualify. RSV is nothing to “sniff” about.
