This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we celebrate moments like these. Moments that remind us why ‘in October, we wear pink lashes.’ 💖
This powerful quote comes from one of our beautiful clients, who shared her incredibly moving story with us after her appointment with her Lash Artist.
She spent two years in treatment for breast cancer, losing her hair—including her eyelashes—and feeling “less than feminine.” Now in remission and with her eyelashes finally growing back, she was excited but also nervous for her first beauty service in a long time.
After being turned away elsewhere, Shae booked at Deka Lash, feeling stressed and terrified. But then she met her Lash Artist.
“[My Lash Artist] was literally a light in what has been an extraordinarily dark two years. She was funny, engaging and extremely kind... The most impressive part of the situation is that I never mentioned the past two years or my cancer. She had no idea. She was just being herself... Aside from her amazing spirit, my lashes are gorgeous! She gave me a part of my self back that I thought was gone forever.”
