Flu season is here. Some of the news is calling it the super flu. A lot of what it comes down to is get your Flu vaccine still, wash your hands keep surfaces clean. Wear a mask if going out in public can help and or cover your mouth when coughing.

If feel sick or confirmed having the flu limit your contact with public as much as you can to slow down and or stop the spread.

A mutation of influenza a called "Subclade K" is driving this "super flu" season, with Arizona cases surging by over 35% in one week.

White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS Standard Operating Practice

The White Mountain Apache Tribe Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is providing this Public Service Announcement to inform our community about standard practices regarding emergency medical personnel and fi****ms.

General EMS Practice

As a standard practice in emergency medical services, White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS personnel do not carry fi****ms or similar weapons while on duty or operating ambulance vehicles. This includes Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and all other EMS staff members during their regular operational duties.

Commitment to Community Care

White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS first Priority is Patient care. White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS is dedicated to providing exceptional emergency medical care to our community. Our primary mission is the health, safety, and well-being of all patients we serve. Our personnel are trained and equipped to deliver life-saving medical care in any situation while maintaining the trust and confidence of our community members.

National Standards

This approach reflects standard practices across the emergency medical services industry nationwide. Most emergency medical service providers do not carry fi****ms or weapons during routine operations unless specifically assigned to specialized tactical teams working in conjunction with law enforcement agencies. White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS does not have any unit and or tactical team or similar that is carrying any form of a weapon.
