White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS Standard Operating Practice
The White Mountain Apache Tribe Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is providing this Public Service Announcement to inform our community about standard practices regarding emergency medical personnel and fi****ms.
General EMS Practice
As a standard practice in emergency medical services, White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS personnel do not carry fi****ms or similar weapons while on duty or operating ambulance vehicles. This includes Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and all other EMS staff members during their regular operational duties.

Our primary mission is the health, safety, and well-being of all patients we serve. Our personnel are trained and equipped to deliver life-saving medical care in any situation while maintaining the trust and confidence of our community members.
National Standards
This approach reflects standard practices across the emergency medical services industry nationwide. Most emergency medical service providers do not carry fi****ms or weapons during routine operations unless specifically assigned to specialized tactical teams working in conjunction with law enforcement agencies. White Mountain Apache Tribe EMS does not have any unit and or tactical team or similar that is carrying any form of a weapon.
