Our New Year’s Baby!! Congratulations to the Ivers family. Thank you for choosing us for your care. Our first of 2025 and looking to exceed last year’s total of 150 babies delivered!! We can’t wait!!

We are so honored that 150 families have chosen us to be a part of their labor and delivery journey in 2024!!! While we have some transitions going on, we are still here to provide excellent care with our nursing staff and providers. We look forward to 2025 and helping more deliver with us. We are super sad to see Dr. Lehman Wiens leaving our clinic and hospital!! However, we admire the courage to move and put family first. Please be assured we have plans in place to continue caring for her patients who plan to deliver at the WCBC. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out as outlined in the post. We look forward to continuing to care for you, your baby, and your family with personal, patient-centered care!!!

We want to inform our community that Dr. Lehman Wiens has made the decision to relocate out of state, and her last day at McPherson Center for Health will be February 14, 2025. Dr. Lehman Wiens has been an integral part of our family practice team and Women’s Care & Birth Center, and while we will greatly miss her, we fully support her decision and wish her all the best in this next chapter of her life.

Dr. Lehman Wiens shared the following message with her patients and colleagues:

"This decision was not easy, as my time at McPherson Hospital has been both rewarding and fulfilling. I am incredibly grateful for the support and camaraderie of my colleagues, the dedication of our staff, and the trust placed in me by our patients. Serving this community has enriched my life in countless ways."

As we prepare for her departure, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our patients. Here are the key details:
🔹 New Provider Search: We are actively recruiting a new physician and expect to have someone in place within the next year. We will keep you updated.
🔹 Continuity of Care: Dr. Lehman Wiens will continue seeing her patients through February 14, 2025. After that, another provider will ensure continuity of care. Patients with upcoming appointments will be contacted with updated information.
🔹 New Patient Appointments: If you don’t have a scheduled appointment but are looking to establish care, we are happy to assist you in transitioning to a new provider. Please contact our care team at 620-241-7400, option 1, or email careteam@mcphersonhospital.org.

We deeply appreciate Dr. Lehman Wiens’ years of service and dedication to our community and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.

It's Perinatal Nurses Week!! We couldn't be prouder of the nurses who consistently provide outstanding care to our patients each and every day. These nurses do it all from Labor and Delivery, Postpartum Care and Nursery Care. They hold special designations specific to caring for those populations. They complete extra education to remain current on the best evidence based practice for moms and babies. They do an excellent job taking care of our patients and each other!! So excited to celebrate them this week!!
