This is a tough oneโ€ฆ

As my children are both in very important stages of their life and development, I am making a really tough decision to officially step back for a while so that I can focus on them. Simultaneously being a stay at home mom where all they have is me all day and trying to run a business around their needs, takes a lot of juggling and unfortunately creates a lot of โ€œmom guiltโ€ when I canโ€™t focus 100% of the time Iโ€™m grateful to have been given, on them. Because of this, I feel itโ€™s a must. This business thrived, so much more than I ever anticipated and I am so grateful to of had the opportunity. I canโ€™t say this is a goodbye but it is definitely a see you later ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I will still post new remedies I find, new info I learn along the way or recepies for you to make your own goodies at home!

So, in honor of my goodbye for now and to all of my absolutely supportive and fantastic customers Iโ€™ve had a long the way, I am going to have a flash sale to clean out my remaining inventory! Allergies are in full swing at our house this year. There are two things probably in your back yard that can help break up mucus, stop the coughing and stop the runny noses and itchy eyes when nothing else is working!

Mullein & Purple Dead Nettle!

Mullein is going to act as an expectorant, so itโ€™s going to loosen up mucus and itโ€™s going to help with the upper respiratory symptoms like coughing.

Purple dead nettle is going to help with inflammation in the body that is often caused by allergies and acts as an antihistamine, helping to alleviate your symptoms.

I made a huge batch of dead nettle tea yesterday, gave a dose of it to both kids who have been battling allergies for weeks (we thought they were sick because weโ€™ve never dealt with allergies this hard before) and within an hour the swollen eyes were gone, the coughing had stopped and the runny noses dried up.

It takes about 2-4 hours to dry the fresh herb in your oven at the lowest heat setting, then all you have to do is crush them up, steep 3 tsps in 8ozโ€™s of boiling hot water for 7 minutes, add some raw honey and you now have a miracle allergy reliever that cost nothing but some time. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Step 1- Add equal parts fresh flowers and boiling water and combine into a mason jar. Secure the lid and allow it to steep for 24 hours.

Step 2- After the extraction process has had 24 hours to do its job, strain the liquids from the solids. Use a cheese cloth or press out as much liquid as you can!

Step 2- Add the liquid to a sauce pan and add equal parts sugar. Bring to a boil and stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 3- Remove from heat, allow to cool completely.

Simple syrup can be stored up to 6 months in the fridge!

Additionally, upon further research I found that wild violets not only provide copious amounts of antioxidants, they can also act as a pain reliever, an anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory and an antiparasitic. Violets have also been reported in the treatment of various neurological diseases!!

These vibrant purple flowers cover fields in the spring time. They are edible and provide a wide array of medicinal value. Like many of the wild weeds and flowers found, they are an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory. They also act as a pain reliever, a blood cleanser and acts as a helpful remedy when suffering from respiratory infections.

I will be showing you step by step how to turn these wild violets into a beautiful simple syrup which can be added to lemonade and other beverages! ๐Ÿ˜
