Today's NCHSF "Giving Hearts Day Caring Kid" is Eddy from Dakota Prairie Elementary.

When asked how he likes to help others at home or in his community he said, "I like to help my dad with the flag, it shows respect and freedom. There's more I help with but I like this the most. I like taking out the trash, shoveling the sidewalk, sweeping with my mom knowing it makes her happy, I like making her happy."

Eddy you have such a kind heart and we are proud of you for everything you to make a difference!

Today's NCHSF Giving Hearts Day kind kid is Danielle from Neil Dardis Lakota Elementary.

She says "me and my grandma make lemonade every year and donate to feed starving children". What a great way to give back and make memories in the process!

Giving means something different to everyone and we are beyond proud of our Dakota Prairie and Lakota Elementary students as they shared with us how they like to help others in their home or community.

We have chosen 15 heart-warming responses to share with you every day leading up to Giving Hearts Day and will make a $10 donation on GHD to the non-profits of their choice.

Our 1st response is from Levi in Lakota. He writes "I like to help my mom by shoveling snow. It's important to help others because my mom does a lot for me. Helping others is good because it makes you and others feel good."
