Wildcat Wellness School-Based Health The Wildcat Wellness School-Based Health Center is conveniently located on the school campus. Our lo Using a SBHC has many advantages:
1.

School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) are health centers that provide the students and school staff with on site medical and behavioral health care. Some of the services offered are well-child exams, sports physicals, sick visits, laboratory services, vaccinations, allergy injections, chronic care management, and counseling. When your child has a visit at the SBHC, they are not considered absent from

class/school.
2. The average time for a SBHC visit is 20 minutes, in which lessens your child's lost instructional time.
3. Parents don't have to miss work for simple medical visits.
4. Provides speedy treatment to small accidents, such as scraped knees and elbows.
5. Decreasing pain and medical issues help increase your child's educational comprehension and retention.
6. Provides your child access to medical care for those who may have transportation barriers.
