Thomas “Tom” Pude, age 51 of Erie, PA, passed away, reunited with his beloved son, Ryan Pude, his mom (Deborah,) his grandson (Eli,) and his sister (Jeanne.)

Tom’s life was a testament to his resilience and determination, as he fought through numerous health challenges over the past decade. Following a tragic accident in 2015 that left him paralyzed on his left side, Tom faced and overcame countless obstacles, including battling pneumonia stage 4 multiple times and conquering colon cancer in 2024 then beating it with chemotherapy in March 2024 and then before we knew it at his second 3 month scan in January 2025 he was told that his colon cancer had returned as well as multiple cancerous tumors all throughout his abdomen and lungs. Despite the toll that illness took on his body, he never lost his spirit.

He had a passion for life, spending many joyful moments with his family. Tom enjoyed playing in pool and golf leagues, where he was known for his skill and friendly competitiveness. Family outings were a favorite, whether at the roller-skating rink, playing in the yard, or taking part in unique adventures like picking out their cow or attending pig roasts and so much more—activities that created lasting memories for his loved ones.

Though his accident in 2015 limited his ability to enjoy many of the things he once loved, Tom remained a playful, loving grandfather, never losing his ability to bring joy and laughter to his family.
Before his accident, Tom worked as a production worker at Grede, formerly known as Advanced Cast Products, where he dedicated 10+ years of service.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife, Angela Pude, and their three children: Samantha Kuziak-Mills (Sebastian), Thomas Pude (Chelsea Sprenkle), and Tara Hickey (Brandon). He was also a cherished brother to Dawn Waite (Rob), uncle, cousin, and a proud "Papa" to many; Ella, Gavin, Aurora, Kendra, Eli (who also passed away in 2017,) Trevor Jr., Deacon, Nova, and Vanessa. Tom’s warmth, love, and humor touched everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mom (Deborah,) Son (Ryan,) Grandson (Eli,) and his sister (Jeanne.)

Tom will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday April 17, 2026 from 2-4 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home.

Please sign Tom’s online guestbook at www.hatheway-tedesco.com.
