💙🧡 The Meadville Area Free Clinic (MAFC) is an essential resource for individuals 18-65 years of age who do not have health insurance or any kind of medical benefits, who need to see a primary care provider (P*P), and especially who need help with managing chronic conditions.

🙌 MAFC relies on financial support from individuals and organizations. A great time to show your support is during Crawford Gives, which is just around the corner!

Reminder! Crawford Gives is coming up, and you should donate to the Free Clinic to support free healthcare for uninsured patients aged 18-65!

Today is ! 💙🧡 MMC has an internship program in which students can gain practical experience in their field of study while also earning credits toward their degree (no-credit internships are also an option)!

So far this year, MMC has welcomed about 5️⃣6️⃣ interns! 🙌 Two of our interns from 2024, Eva and Maya, shared a bit about their experiences as interns, which you can read about at: careers.mmchs.org/student-opportunities.

💙🧡 We’ve yet another physician to welcome to our staff before July ends. This time, it’s Dr. Hugh Wilkens, MD, a radiologist!

🩺 Dr. Wilkens is a Penn State grad with deep ties to our local community as well as our hospital system. We’re grateful that he’s chosen to practice at MMC!

💙🧡 Dr. Benjamin Karlberg, MD is still fairly new to our organization and yet was awarded our 2025 Doctor of the Year Award! 🏆

🩺 In his role, Dr. Karlberg performs minimally invasive procedures on patients, like biopsies, with image-guided technologies and techniques. He also works in consultation with specialists like oncologists, pulmonologists, and even endocrinologists.

🤝If you are told that you may need to have a procedure performed by an interventional radiologist here at MMC, get to know Dr. Karlberg here first!
