A heartfelt thank you to Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith for her leadership and dedication in helping get critical legislation passed to save Franklin County Memorial Hospital. Your support means so much to our community!

We’re also grateful to her, Dr. Daniel Edney our State Health Officer, Dane Maxwell with the USDA, Richard Roberson CEO of Mississippi Hospital Association, Chad Netterville with the Rural Hospital Alliance, Katie Bryant Snell, Dr. Benjamin Yarbrough, our Hospital Board Members, Supervisor Jack Jordan, Mayor of Meadville Lane Reed, Chamber of Commerce President Brad Jones, students from Franklin County Vocation Center’s Health Science program and everyone else who visited the hospital today to spend time with our amazing staff. A special moment was hearing hospital Administrator Mike Boleware’s presentation naming Senator Hyde-Smith an honorary employee of FCMH and seeing Mayor Lane Reed present her with the key to the town of Meadville.

We are also thankful for our community support. With your prayers and support, our hospital stands strong! Today was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish together for our hospital and our hometown.

Thank you, Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, for standing up for Franklin County and rural health care across Mississippi.

Through language she drafted into an upcoming congressional appropriations package, Senator Hyde-Smith is working to permanently restore Franklin County Memorial Hospital's Critical Access Hospital designation — an essential step to protecting local access to care, emergency services, and jobs in the community.

We are grateful for her continued leadership on behalf of Mississippi rural patients and hospitals.

Tomorrow kicks off the 2026 season of the Franklin County Memorial Hospital Mobile Unit at Franklin County Elementary!

We’ll be on campus every Tuesday to provide care for students—and yes, teachers can be seen too.

This service continues to support our entire community by helping keep kids in school when possible, giving parents peace of mind, and saving families from having to miss work for every sick visit. If a student needs to go home, parents are contacted right away. If they’re okay to return to class, parents can feel confident knowing their child has been seen and cared for.

They say it takes a village to raise a child—and we’re proud to be part of yours. We meet you where you are, and we’re here to help however we can.
