I wanted to give everyone an update on how things are going. I had surgery the end of February for the melanoma. They removed the cancer and made sure that there were clean borders as well as removed some lymph nodes. I had my follow-up yesterday where they removed the stitches and gave us some fantastic news. The lymph-nodes they looked at showed no indication of cancer.

After some discussion with my oncologist, it was highly encouraged that I do some adjunct therapy. I will be doing immunotherapy treatments for the next year as there is a moderate to high risk for recurrence. The immunotherapy will cut that risk down to 15-20%. With that being said, I will be going to Pittsburgh 1-2x a month for 12 months. As before, I will be opening up some appointments a month at a time. Please keep an eye out for cancelations if I have an appointment that is moved or am not feeling well. On that note, if you are not feeling well before an appointment, please reschedule as my immune system may not be up for it.

Important: Please read

I received some upsetting news last week. I have been diagnosed with stage 2B Melanoma. I will not know the true staging of the cancer until after my surgery is completed and lymph nodes have been studied. Hopefully the surgery will occur the end of February following some initial treatments.

My husband, Corey, and I met with many doctors last Thursday who will be working with me in the coming months. In the meantime, I will have many appointments in Pittsburgh for treatments both leading up to and likely following the surgery. There will be many changes to the schedule for the time being. I apologize for all the cancelations, some of which may be last minute depending on how I am feeling. Please check your email if you currently have appointments scheduled to make sure they aren't being cancelled as I have some of the appointment dates already. I know once the surgery is scheduled, I will also need to take a few weeks off to recover.

Thank you for hanging in there with me. Hopefully in a couple of months I will be back to normal schedule. As always, thank you for your support over the last 17 years. I can't believe it has been that long. I truly love what I do.

Hi Everyone,

There has been a change to my schedule at the hospital. I am going to re-open on-line scheduling on a month by month basis as our schedule comes out. Please make sure to up-date your contact information in case I need to cancel/adjust your time if we go over at the hospital.

I am also looking to update my cancelation list for both 1/2 hr and 1 hr massage appointments. Please text me at 814-460-7032 with your cellphone number/preference and I will update it if you have not been receiving text messages with availability.

Once again I need to change my schedule. Beginning the third week of June (June 13th), I will be trying to do massages Mon-Fri 2:15-4:15 as well as the first Sat of every month. Between my kids being home for the summer and babysitting challenges, this is the best option I could come up with.

If you do schedule for a 2:15 appointment, please keep in mind there is always the chance I may be late or that I may have to cancel last minute if we are running behind at the hospital. I will be working my way through the appointments already scheduled and do my best to accommodate and get everyone scheduled during the week if at all possible.

For those of you who are scheduled, if you have a preference please feel free to reply via email, text, or messenger and I will see what I can do. Once I am able to reschedule those already on my books, I will then open up self scheduling online.

I will also be updating my cancellation list. If you would like added please reply with your name, cell phone number and preferences for 1/2 hr, 1 hr or both. If you are on the list and wish to be removed, please also let me know.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my office has moved. I will now be located at 941 Federal Court. I am in the basement of the old Post Office building which is now Douglas Smith Dentistry on Chestnut St. You can access my office through the side entrance into the basement on Federal Court. This is the alley across from Julian's Bar and Grill. If you are walking down that alley towards the Tribune building, there will be an entrance on your left hand side. (My sign is not up yet outside but I am working on it.) When you come into the basement turn left and you will see my couch against the wall. If you are coming for an appointment, please wait there and I will be out when I am ready. Thank you for your patience as I transition into this new location/space.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. I just wanted to let you know that I have opened up Saturdays for everyone to schedule as they wish at: https://therapeuticmassagebyerinllc.clinicsense.com/

I will be scheduling during the week on a monthly basis according to my work schedule at the hospital as it becomes available. Please keep in mind that there is always a chance during the week that I may have to cancel last minute due to procedures going over my normal work hours.

Occasionally I also have days where I get out of work early and am able to add to my schedule on short notice. If you would like to be placed on that list, please message me your cell phone number and name. Texting is the most efficient way for me to fill openings and will be on a first come basis.

I will be implementing a cancellation policy due to massage demand. If you are unable to make your appointment, please allow 24 hr notice. If you do not provide this notice, I reserve the right to issue a cancellation fee of 100% of the service scheduled. I understand emergencies happen and will accommodate as needed. With limited hours available to work, those hours are critical to my keeping this business open.
