Speech Stars is a pediatric speech pathology practice serving ages birth to 21

Our Approach:
Speech Stars was founded by two clinicians that are passionate about providing the best quality care possible. The clinicians at Speech Stars love learning about and implementing new treatment methods and bring all they have to offer to your child and your family. We believe in individualized treatment and fun, engaging therapy that includes both the child and care giver from beginning to end.

We believe the best therapy outcome is when the clinician follows the child's lead while providing direction and positive encouragement.

Together, we will ALL SHINE! Nationally Accredited & State Licensed
We are nationally certified and state licensed for speech language pathology and are qualified to evaluate and treat a variety of speech and language disorders and delays including language delays, articulation and phonology delays, Apraxia, pragmatic delays, auditory processing disorder, and other communicative disorders.

Catherine Holbrook is an SLP who recently began her Clinical Fellowship year with us! She is working in our Mebane office, as well as helping with one of our school contracts!

Kyleigh Yow is an SLP Assistant, who is working in our Mebane office!

Maya Rone is an SLP graduate student, completing her fall clinical practicum in our Caswell office!

Each of them are beyond excited to kickstart their careers and meet so many of our valued clients & families! Please give them a warm welcome! 🩷🎉

🌟Speech Stars Camp 2025🌟

We're thankful to the Caswell County Recreation Development Foundation for enabling us to host Speech Stars Camp 2025 free for Caswell's children this summer. The camp's diverse activities, including games, crafts, and a water day, were a huge hit! Our staff and volunteers played a vital role in its success, and we're grateful for their time and commitment! Their passion and dedication have made a lasting impact, and we're still feeling the effects (and recovering) from camp! Until next year!

We’re Hiring: SLPs & SLPAs- Make a difference with Speech Stars!

Speech Stars is expanding our team in Yanceyville and Mebane, North Carolina, and we’d love to hear from you! We have full time, part time, and 1099 summer contract work available! We have flexibility between clinic, contract school jobs with the Caswell County School System, daycare, and a mix of all roles!

To apply for an SLP role you must have an active NC license and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. CFs are welcome to apply!

To apply for an SLPA role you have an active NC SLPA registration and have completed 100 hours of clinical observation

Today is MPS Awareness Day! 💜

Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) is a group of metabolic disorders caused by the lack of specific enzymes required to break down sugar carbohydrates that aid in bone, skin, and connective tissue building. Individuals with MPS fail to produce enough enzymes needed to break down these sugar chains into simpler molecules or produce enzymes that do not work properly. This results in permanent damage to cells and affects an individual’s physical appearance, organs, and system functioning. There are many forms of MPS and their prevalence is estimated to be one in 25,000 births.

This is a condition near and dear to our hearts! We honor this day to educate and spread both awareness and acceptance! We love our sweet Jaylin!! 💜
