If your 2-year-old isn’t talking yet, you’re not alone in wondering what’s typical💬

By age 2, many children are starting to use words and simple phrases, but every child develops at their own pace. If your child is using very few words, not combining words, or seems frustrated when trying to communicate, it may be worth looking into additional support.

The good news? Early support can make a big difference in helping children build strong communication skills!💚

Join us for a NICU Families Support Circle, a space where parents currently navigating the NICU and families who have graduated from it can come together for connection, understanding, and hope.

This event offers the chance to share stories, ask honest questions, and connect with people who truly understand this unique journey.

The circle will be hosted by and facilitated by Melissa Line, RN, a local NICU nurse and founder of Beyond Birth Newborn Support, who brings both professional insight and deep compassion to hold space for these conversations.

Communication starts the moment you walk through our doors💬✨

Have you noticed the communication board at our front desk or others throughout our clinic space?👀

These boards provide a visual way for children to express wants, needs, feelings, and ideas, especially for those who are not yet using verbal speech or who benefit from extra language support.

By placing visual supports across our clinic, we’re creating a language-rich environment where communication is always accessible. This helps children:
🔹Initiate requests
🔹Answer questions
🔹Comment & interact
🔹Build vocabulary & confidence

These visuals and other supports like it don’t replace speech: they support and build it. Most importantly, it ensures every child has a voice the moment they enter our space.

Because communication should be available everywhere.💛

At Clear Path Pediatric Therapy, our pediatric feeding therapy services support children who struggle with picky eating, sensory sensitivities, limited food variety, gagging, or anxiety during meals. Using a play-based, child-led, pressure-free approach, we help children build comfort with food while supporting long-term success at home.

Feeding therapy may be beneficial if your child:
• Eats a very limited range of foods
• Becomes distressed or anxious during meals
• Has sensory aversions to textures, smells, or temperatures
• Refuses to sit at the table or participate in family meals
