Have you ever needed to just get away to clear the mind and/or refresh your body and soul? Time to escape into the forest.
Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice that is known as “forest bathing” which is simply spending time in a forest or natural setting or environment. Forest bathing is scientifically known to lower blood pressure, one’s heart rate, as well as cortisol, the harmful hormone produced when anxious and stressed. It also allows for fresh air and oxygen to the brain, along with increasing immune cell activity too.
So it’s time to take a break from all your demands of life and get into the forest!
