Washington County Medical Society The Washington County Medical Society was organized to elevate and maintain the highest standards of health care.

​The Washington County Medical Society was established in 1855. We offer physicians an organization to deal with local and regional health care issues while also networking with the Pennsylvania Medical Society to advocate on a statewide level. Patient advocacy is a core of our membership, as each year we have several members attend the PA Medical Society House of Delegates. Additionally, we strive to facilitate and improve the standards of medical education by offering CME activities throughout the year to our local medical professionals. The Washington County Medical Society promotes patient and physician health and wellness, facilitation of continuing medical education, and fostering of collegial relationships among its members.​

🌟 September is Su***de Prevention Month. Let's be a resource for each other! 🌟

Physicians dedicate themselves to caring for others, but we must also prioritize our own well-being and that of our colleagues. Here are 5 red flags that may indicate someone is struggling with mental health:

1️⃣ Frequent absences or lateness
2️⃣ Changes in personal appearance
3️⃣ Increased nervousness
4️⃣ Unpredictable behavior
5️⃣ Substance abuse

Let’s be proactive, support one another, and break the silence around mental health in our field. If you or someone you know is struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. Call 988 for support. 💙

We were able to come together to democratically deliberate, consider, and establish broad society policy on health, medical, and governance matters. Special thanks to all of those who participated!
