Meet Me Where I Am: Family Dementia Training Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was such a meaningful time together. This training was grounded in Bridge Senior Living’s “Meet Me Where I Am” approach, which focuses on connecting with someone in their current state of mind and emotions, rather than trying to bring them back to ours.

Each month, we invite a special guest author to share their book and story, along with a Q&A with residents and guests.

Our residents loved the story, the company, and most of all, the discussion of faith and parenting. 💕

Monday afternoons are all about music with Kristyn, milkshakes, and making memories, and today we had an extra special reason to celebrate: Mary’s birthday! 🥳❤️

We enjoyed strawberries galore, including delicious homemade strawberry shortcake from Mary’s family, plus strawberry milkshakes courtesy of our awesome dining team. 🍓

It was even more special having our friends from Pinnacle Hospice and Amedisys Hospice join in the fun.

Days like this remind us how wonderful life is at The Bridges, surrounded by great people and joyful moments.

BIG shoutout to our amazing maintenance team and Complete Disaster Services for their time, talents, and donations to help our Lilac Trace neighborhood have a wonderful afternoon building birdhouses. We created three beautiful birdhouses to display in our courtyards for our fine feathered friends and our residents to enjoy! 🥰
