As the weather cools, itโ€™s tempting to stay cozy on the couch โ€” but movement is medicine! ๐Ÿ’ช Reduced activity can lead to stiffness, muscle weakness, and decreased balance, which may increase fall risk. Thatโ€™s why even short bouts of exercise throughout the day are so important, especially for older adults or those recovering from injury.

Try these simple indoor moves:
๐Ÿ  March in place during TV commercials to boost circulation and leg strength
๐Ÿช‘ Stand up every 30โ€“60 minutes to maintain core activation and joint mobility
๐ŸŽฏ Stretch or do light balance exercises in a clear, safe area to improve stability and coordination
*Use a sturdy chair, kitchen sink, or walker for hand support, if needed, to be safe!
