Good day beautiful souls,
🙏✌️🫶🏼
I wanted to take a moment to mention some important information when using tinctures and herbs for wellness. 🌿🫶🏼✨
✨When I started my journey of exploration into plant medicine, herbalism and foraging, it came from a place of wanting to heal my mind, body and spirit holistically without the use of pharmaceuticals. I knew my body could do it all by itself and felt it was part of my journey to learn how.
✨I believe nature provides everything we need as a tool to aid in our bodies healing processes.
✨As I share with you all, the fantastic tinctures that I collaborate with for my personal journey of wellbeing, and their uses, I want to share a few tips to keep in mind if you choose to incorporate them into your wellness experience.
✨Before I start working with any new herb, I take time to connect to each ones energetic vibration. I talk to the herb, maybe just hold it in my hand and feel the plants energy connect and merge with mine. Plants have consciousness too and I believe it’s important to be in right relation when working with plant medicine.
✨I always start with small dosage ( regardless of the recommended dosage on label) and see how my body feels and responds, then gradually increase my dosage, to find best dosage for me. This can help you to more easily know if you need to decrease your dose or are on the threshold of too much. If your body responds negatively, then you decrease your dosage. Muscle testing can be helpful for this process as well.
✨Some herbs are best to work with for a period of time and then pause, and then resume. Others can be used long term.
✨I also only introduce one new herb at a time, this helps me if my body is responding negatively, to know what the reaction is related to.
✨I always do a lot of research on each new herb I introduce. ie: reading books, articles, compare information, communicate and meditate with each one, journal and take notes. I want to learn what each one offers medicinally. Learn what the cautions are, if any. All medicinals are different . 😁🍄
✨If I were taking pharmaceuticals I would check to make sure they were safe to use together. Many can complement other treatments. Awareness is 🔑. This is not medical advice nor meant to take the place of any personal primary care directives. Please consult your care provider if any questions or concerns .
✨With that being said, it’s best to make sure your herb blends and combinations work well together also. ( I actually just purchased the Herbal Synergies book. Super excited for it to arrive. I hear it has lots of beneficial information. ) Muscle testing again can be super helpful in this process. (If you aren’t familiar with that process, comment below if you would like a quick demo of a couple muscle testing techniques.)
✨I am not a master herbalist by any means. But I am a practicing shaman, intuitive channeler, just walking my own healing journey and sharing it with you. ✌️🫶🏼🌹
✌️ ✨love & light✨🙏
