Ever wonder what happens when curiosity meets candy?

Our school-agers became scientists as they explored the scientific method using a fun experiment—marshmallow Peeps in the microwave!

They started by asking questions: What will happen to a Peep when it’s heated? Will it grow, melt, or explode? Then came predictions, lots of giggles, and careful observation as the Peeps puffed up bigger and bigger, lastly were the conclusions regarding how and why this reaction occurred!

What an EGG-tacular day! All of the preschool classes enjoyed decorating their eggs.

The Yellow Birds and Green Birds explored speed and motion as they rolled marbles through paint over an egg shape. The Orange Birds and Baby Birds 2 used dot markers to leave their creative touch on printed egg shapes.

Baby Bird 2 wrapped up our Green Things Week in the most fun (and sensory-filled!) way! 💚

Our little learners explored using all their senses as they tasted, touched, listened, and learned. They felt the cold, fizzy sherbet, listened closely to the loud whir of the blender, and enjoyed their very own shamrock shake made from a pineapple juice lime sherbet concoction! ☘️

We also practiced an important skill—using a straw—which was both exciting and a little tricky, but our Baby Birds did a great job!

It was a wonderful week full of exploration, discovery, and lots of green fun!

The Green and Yellow Birds had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful weather outside. They participated in bike races and gross motor races, from pedaling fast on the bikes to jumping, balancing, and running with friends! At Tuckaway Harbor our Baby Birds are little explorers at work!
Every wiggle, roll, grasp, and giggle is part of their milestone development. From strengthening neck muscles during tummy time to building hand-eye coordination while exploring toys, these small moments are actually BIG steps in their growth.

Our Green Birds strengthened their fine motor skills while using play-doh and cutters. They also explored emotions by drawing different facial expressions on mats and talking about how each feeling looks and feels.

Our Yellow Birds practiced letter recognition in a fun and engaging way by playing Letter Jeopardy! The game format made learning exciting while helping them build confidence with identifying their letters as well as practicing turn taking.
