CALL to ATTEND THE COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING APRIL 23rd! NO Uranium Mining near Canjilon momentum is building! Our legislators are acting, legal organizations are aware and community members are rallying – thanks to everyone who raised the alarm.

Our D.C. legislators came together to issue a joint Press Release - Teresa Leger-Fernández, Ben Ray-Luján and Martin Heinrich have all signed a letter to the USFS. We highly recommend you read the letter, it’s a good one (link below).

Meanwhile at home – Rio Arriba County Commissioner Moises Morales is calling us to attend the next council meeting in Tierra Amarilla, Thursday, April 23rd, 10:00. Let’s spread the word, carpool with neighbors, meet fellow activists and FILL THE ROOM!

Hey Desert Monks, We’re in Medanales with extra hotwire netting and livestock guardian dogs/a working sheep dog if you all need to evacuate animals. We have some extra bails and a pasture to keep animals happy.
